I’ve been a Giants fan for as long as I can remember.  My dad is mostly responsible for this.  Unfortunately, he passed in December of 2009, right before the Giants finally won the World Series.  Any time I watch a game now, I can feel him right there with me.  The last few years I’ve become more interested in the workings of the game itself, and I’ve been driving people nuts with my questions.  So I decided to write this blog to share the knowledge I’ve gained with those who, like me, have a basic understanding of baseball but want to actually understand fully what Kruk and Kuip are talking about.  Also, since the one thing women hate most about baseball is all the spitting, I’ve decided to do an in-game spit count in my quest to answer the eternal question, “Why do they spit so much?”

When I’m not blogging, I work as a special education instructional assistant at a middle school and I tutor math.  I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains with my husband, two kids, two cats, and a bunch of deer.
